This is why you want to be very cautious when you go eliminating a character from continuity. You never know when someone is going to come along and do something really awesome with her that you didn't see coming.
I never really liked having Barbara in a wheelchair. Before comics, I always loved the girl from the 60s show and B:TAS. And I think that what the character did best. She was a campy icon that Fox let as part of his legacy to the mythos. A wheelchair bound character is interesting and compelling, but it's no substitute for the spark of sunshinte that Babs used to be in Batman's world.
